Track 2: Anxiety and Depression in Children

When a child does not outgrow the fears and anxieties that are usual in young children, or when there are so many fears and worries that they interfere with school, home, or play activities, an anxiety disorder may be identified. Anxiety disorders can present itself in a number of ways.

There are times in every child's life when they are unhappy or despairing. Some kids, on the other hand, are sad or uninterested in activities they used to enjoy, or they feel helpless or hopeless in situations they can change. Depression can be diagnosed in children when they experience persistent sadness and hopelessness.
