Pediatric Vaccines and Immunization

Babies are born with antibodies that protect them from diseases because their mothers pass antibodies to them before they are born. Antibodies in breast milk continue to increase in breastfeed newborns. However, the protection is only temporary in both circumstances. Immunization is a technique for preventing the spread of certain diseases. Small amounts of a disease-causing bacterium that has been destroyed or weakened are sometimes used to accomplish this. Sometimes the vaccine is just a small portion of the germ, like a protein or a piece of its genetic information.Chickenpox (Varicella)
